How might you come into contact with the FIOD?

You might come into contact with the FIOD in several ways.

Examples:

  • as a suspect in a criminal investigation
  • as a witness in a criminal investigation
  • as a holder of items or information that may serve as evidence in a criminal investigation

Complaints

You can file a complaint about the conduct of (a staff member of) the FIOD. Information about the complaints procedure and a complaints form can be found on the complaints page.

Damage

If damage has been caused to your property due to the actions of the FIOD, you can apply for compensation. Information on the procedure can be found on the damage page.

Information about (the progress of) an investigation

If  you are a suspect and would like information on the progress of your investigation, please get in touch with the contact person named on the investigation or the public prosecutor. In most cases, you will have received these contact details either at the time of the search or with the invitation to an interview. If you do not have any contact details, please contact fiod.infodesk@belastingdienst.nl and state your name, address, date of birth, citizen service number (BSN) and, if known, the investigation number.
