Complaints

Making a complaint

Do you want to file a complaint about the conduct of ( a staff member of) the FIOD?
Write a letter.
Please state:

  • your name
  • your address
  • your complaint
    Be as clear as possible about what went wrong, when it happened and who you spoke to. Do not worry if you cannot remember the name.

The following information is not mandatory:

  • your telephone number and email address
    We may like to call you to discuss what happened with you
  • the date you are submitting the complaint
  • your signature

Do you have documents that support your complaint? Then make copies of them and send them too. DO NOT send original documents as they will not be returned to you.

This only applies to complaints about conduct of (staff members of) the FIOD.

The FIOD will make a decision about your complaint within 14 weeks of receipt.
